India Hub
On 18 December 2019, the Avoidable Deaths Network’s (ADN) India Chapter was launched in Bhubaneswar, Odisha by Regional Coordinator for India, Mr. Dillip Pattanaik. Ms. Neelam Mkhijani, the Country Director Childfund, and Dr. Ambika Prasad Nanda, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Tata Steel were the guest of honour for this event.
The India Hub is hosted in the office of the Orissa State Volunteers and Social Workers Association and can accommodate Volunteers, Interns or Research Fellows. Additionally, the India Hub implements the Case Station for Avoidable Snakebite Deaths.
Projects and Enterprise
The ADN India Hub has participated in projects related to three research themes: Disaster Education, Direct and Indirect Disaster Deaths and Snakebite Deaths.
