Online continuing professional development course: disaster resilience, disaster deaths and creative methodology for risk reduction

We are pleased to announce a three-day continuing professional development (CPD) course on Disaster Resilience, Disaster Deaths and Creative Methodology for Risk Reduction delivered by K2 Crisis and Resilience in collaboration with ADN.

Day 1 will focus on Disaster Resilience in government, international affairs and international organisations, such as the UN.

Day 2 will focus on Disaster Deaths with attention on injury deaths and avoidable disaster deaths.

Day 3 will focus on Creative Methodologies for Risk Reduction through spoken word poetry, community engagement and art such as Etegami.

By the end of the training programme participants will have:

  1. Developed a theoretical understanding of the components required to build resilience in an environment, organisation or business.
  2. ⁠Demonstrated skills through crisis response and other exercises.
  3. Understanding on disaster deaths with attention on injury deaths and avoidable disaster deaths.
  4. ⁠Understood and developed creative methodologies for risk reduction.
  5. Been invited to form a professional network of risk reduction and disaster resilience professionals, supported by the ADN.
