💬 Arkonei Ghosh

“At just 10 years old, during a school robotics project on sanitation in Dharavi, Mumbai, I realised that the challenges we were studying were not theoretical—they were the daily reality for millions. That moment ignited a deep commitment to fight preventable suffering and led me to the Avoidable Deaths Network (ADN). Over the years, I found my voice through writing and visual advocacy, producing awareness articles and designing posters on drowning deaths and snakebites as calls to action. In 2023, representing ADN at the International Awareness Day for Avoidable Deaths (IAD4AD) in Osaka, Japan, transformed my local journey into a global mission. Now, at 15, as Lead of the Junior Champion Magazine, I amplify the unheard voices of children living on the frontlines of climate change and adversity, marking five years of sustained advocacy and leadership.
